Holy moly. I haven’t posted in forever. I have….. *drumroll please* A BIG GIRL JOB! Anyone in their early twenties that has just finished college knows the struggle. Only 27% of college grads find a job within their course of study, a even less of those people find a career within the 6-month time frame the government gives you before you have to start paying back those insane student loans. Another fun fact – college grads change jobs an average of 20 times within their life before retirement. Holy crap…

I shot the serif JANUARY 17, 2010 This past Saturday I had the honor of judging the Type Directors Club annual typeface competition and the privilege of being immersed in typography of many nations from Japanese Hiragana and Katakana to Indian Devangari, Russian Cyrillic, Armenian, Arabic and a healthy share of Latin typefaces including one. Once I saw Calibri in action, I realized that Microsoft Word was hardly the sole offender. I noticed that most online forms used Arial or another sans-serif font that made little distinction between the upper-case “I” and the lower-case “L,” and I deduced that most of the confusion occurred in situations where people had to read my contact information on a screen and then write it out.I Shot The Serif Poster
Anyways, I feel #blessed. I didn’t want to post anything until it was officially the real deal, but about 2 months ago I found my dream job in marketing and graphic design. And I am so happy to say that I never expected I would have this job so soon after graduating college (or ever, for that matter). But here I am – it is the day of my 60 day review, and I’m on board
